Where Does Devour Store Saves and Settings on PC?
Where Devour keeps its local Unity data folder on PC, and what actually syncs via game servers.
Last updated
Devour keeps local data at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Straight Back Games\DEVOUR: Unity settings, logs, and whatever progression the build stores locally. Unlocks and ranks have drifted server side across updates.
That drift is why guides disagree. Registry era answers, file era answers, and server side answers are all correct for different vintages. For a current install, copy the LocalLow folder for settings and rely on the account for progress. The folder name stays uppercase DEVOUR.
Where Devour stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Straight Back Games\DEVOUR
Settings, logs, and local progression data here. The folder name is uppercase DEVOUR, so copy it exactly. Steam Cloud coverage is partial, which is why manual copies still get recommended.
Frequently asked questions
how do i back up devour progress
Copy %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Straight Back Games\DEVOUR to the same path with the game closed. Unlocks and ranks increasingly live server side, so the folder matters most for settings and logs. Check the live contents before promising a full restore.
did devour saves move from the registry
Early builds used a Windows registry key, later builds moved to files plus server storage. Old guides describing registry only backups are outdated. Current installs center on the LocalLow folder with the account holding the rest.
where are devour settings stored
In the same LocalLow tree (settings and Unity player prefs). Wiping it resets graphics and bindings without touching server side unlocks. Reinstalls preserve nothing locally worth mourning beyond those options.
