Where Does dgVoodoo Store Config Files?

dgVoodoo keeps its config files beside the game DLLs, wherever you extracted them.

Last updated

dgVoodoo is a set of DLLs plus config files that live wherever you extract them, almost always the game folder. The control panel edits the config in place next to the DLLs it configures.

There is no central install and no registry footprint. Each game folder carries its own wrapper copy with its own settings, which keeps per-game tweaks isolated. Back up the game folder and the wrapper configuration travels with it automatically.

Where dgVoodoo stores this, by platform

Windows
<GameDir>\dgVoodoo.conf (beside game DLLs)

Wrapper config beside the game DLLs in each game folder. Per-game copies stay isolated; move DLLs plus configs together between games.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move dgVoodoo to another game?

Copy the DLLs plus both config files to the new game folder together. The config travels with the wrapper, not with any central install, so all four pieces move as a set.
