Where Does DivestOS Keep App and Backup Data?
DivestOS is discontinued since late 2024. Remaining installs keep Mull, F-Droid and SeedVault app data.
Last updated
DivestOS ended in December 2024 with archived repos and no further builds. Devices already on it still boot. The useful remainder is the app set in standard private directories. It covers browsing and installs, with SeedVault handling backup, and raw reads of those folders need root.
Staying on the system means running without security patches, so new setups belong on a maintained ROM. When moving, run the SeedVault restore during initial setup of the replacement and carry the recovery code separately. Manual folder copies across ROMs miss locked state. Plan the move before spending time configuring an install that receives no updates.

Private data for the Mull browser package on DivestOS installs. Discontinued ROM; migrate via SeedVault rather than raw copies.
Frequently asked questions
Is DivestOS still safe to use?
No new builds ship since December 2024 and repos are archived. Staying means no security patches. Move to a maintained ROM and migrate SeedVault backups during initial setup of the new system.
Where is DivestOS app data on device?
Mull lives under us.spotco.fennec_dos, F-Droid under org.fdroid.fdroid, SeedVault under com.stevesoltys.seedvault. Root is needed to copy them raw; normal migration goes through SeedVault restore files instead.
