Where Does Dozzle Store Users and Data?
Dozzle Docker log viewer users file and container data mount.
Last updated
Dozzle keeps almost no state. Flags and env vars carry runtime options. The one persistent file is the simple auth user database under the data mount.
That mount needs an explicit host volume or the file evaporates with the container. Both yml and yaml spellings load. Everything else rebuilds from the image.
Where Dozzle stores this, by platform
/data/users.yml
Simple auth user DB under the data mount with yml preferred and yaml fallback. Host bind required for persistence. Remaining options flow through flags and env vars.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Dozzle users?
Copy the mounted data folder with the container stopped. It holds the users file for simple auth. Restoring means remounting the same host path on start.
Is there a main config file?
Otherwise it follows twelve factor style with flags and env vars and no etc file. The docker socket bind is a read path, not config. Only the users file persists on disk.
