Where Are Dungeonborne Save Files Located?
Where Dungeonborne keeps local Unreal files on PC, and why most progression lives on the game servers instead.
Last updated
Dungeonborne is an Unreal Engine extraction game for Windows (Steam AppID 2448970). Local files follow the standard Unreal layout under LocalAppData with a Saved folder inside. Expect SaveGames, Config, Logs and crash dumps there.
The catch is that characters, stash and matchmaking data live server side. Local backup preserves keybinds and graphics choices. It does not preserve progression. Treat the folder as settings backup, not a character vault.
Where Dungeonborne stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Dungeonborne\Saved\SaveGames
Paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Dungeonborne into Explorer. If the top folder uses a studio name instead, search LocalAppData for Dungeonborne. Keep Config for keybinds. SaveGames holds local slots where present.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Dungeonborne settings?
Copy the Saved folder with the game closed. If you return after a wipe or season reset and the character is gone, that is server side. Local files cannot bring it back.
Will copying local files restore my character?
No. Heirlooms, levels and stash live on Mithril Games servers tied to your account. Local files hold config, cached shaders and crash logs. Reinstalling Windows never touches rank.
