Where Does EasyRPG Player Store Saves?

EasyRPG Player INI config with per-game save files beside RPG Maker data.

Last updated

EasyRPG keeps one INI under per-OS config roots with overrides for every path. Saves live per game as numbered files beside the project. Logs branch to state dirs on Linux.

The per-game INI is project data, not player config. Do not confuse the two when migrating. Keep central config plus each game folder together.

Where EasyRPG Player stores this, by platform

Linux
~/.config/EasyRPG/Player/config.ini

Central INI with path overrides. Saves per game beside project data. Log in state dir on Linux. Per-game INI is project data, not config.

Windows
%AppData%\EasyRPG\Player\config.ini

Same INI plus per-game saves with explicit wiki path. Saves beside the game folder.

macOS
~/.config/EasyRPG/Player/config.ini

Same XDG style config on Homebrew builds with per-game saves beside projects.

Frequently asked questions

How do I back up EasyRPG?

Copy the config file with the player closed. Per-game saves live beside each game, not centrally. Restoring means putting the config back plus each game folder.

Where are save files?

Save files sit in the game folder next to the project database. Config, save and project paths all accept overrides. That keeps portable game folders self-contained.
