Where Are Empyrion: Galactic Survival Save Files Located?
The Empyrion save folder on PC, with named game saves inside the install directory.
Last updated
Empyrion hardcodes saves to a Saves folder inside its own install directory, with named game folders plus blueprint and cache branches. Generic guides claiming LocalLow are simply wrong for this game.
Install folder storage demands the usual Program Files caution. Keep manual copies outside the Steam library, since verification and permission redirects both threaten local saves.
Where Empyrion: Galactic Survival stores this, by platform
<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\Empyrion - Galactic Survival\Saves\Games\[SaveName]
Inside the install folder starting from your Steam library root. [SaveName] is your named save. Blueprints and cache sit in sibling branches. Ignore guides pointing at LocalLow.
Frequently asked questions
Why do guides disagree about Empyrion's save location?
Template sites guess LocalLow for everything. Empyrion genuinely uses its install folder, confirmed across years of Steam discussions.
How do I back up Empyrion saves and blueprints?
Copy the whole Saves directory out of the install folder. Games, Blueprints, and Cache travel together.
