Where Does Enlisted Store Its Config File?

Enlisted keeps progress on Gaijin servers; only graphics and launcher tweaks live in a local .blk file.

Last updated

Enlisted stores almost nothing of value on your disk. Soldiers, unlocks and campaign progress live on Gaijin's servers under your account, so a reinstall loses nothing that matters. The local file worth knowing is enlisted.config.blk in the install folder.

That .blk file holds graphics driver choice and launcher-side tweaks. It is the file people edit to force DirectX 11 or fix a bad resolution that locks them out of the menus. Copy it before editing, since a malformed line makes the launcher rewrite the whole thing.

Where Enlisted stores this, by platform

Windows
<Steam>\steamapps\common\Enlisted\enlisted.config.blk

Graphics and launcher settings. Progress is server-side on your Gaijin account and needs no backup. Edit with the launcher closed; back the file up first.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to back up anything before reinstalling Enlisted?

No. Soldiers, weapons and campaign progress live on your Gaijin account, so logging in anywhere restores them. Only graphics and launcher-side tweaks are local.

How do I force Enlisted to run in DirectX 11?

Open enlisted.config.blk in the install folder and set driver:t to dx11 instead of dx12 or auto. Save with the launcher closed, then start the game normally.
