Where Does Epic Games Launcher Store Vault Cache?

The Epic launcher keeps web cache and vault data in AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved on Windows.

Last updated

The Epic Games Launcher stores its web cache, logs and local config in a Saved folder under its AppData directory. Unreal Engine vault items download through it into a separate VaultCache location.

Clearing the webcache subfolder fixes most launcher display glitches without touching games or the vault. Installed games live in their own library folders, entirely apart from this tree.

Where Epic Games Launcher stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved

Config, logs and webcache inside. VaultCache for engine content sits beside it. Delete only the webcache folder for display issues; games and vault stay intact.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Epic/EpicGamesLauncher/Saved

Same layout on Mac. If folder names differ by build, sort by modification date after launching the launcher.

Frequently asked questions

how do i fix epic games launcher showing blank pages

Quit the launcher fully and delete the webcache folder inside Saved. It rebuilds on next launch while games and vault content survive.

where are unreal engine vault items stored

In the VaultCache folder beside Saved. Removing it only forces redownloads from the marketplace, never affecting installed projects.
