Football Manager keeps saves in a folder named after the edition, sitting inside Sports Interactive in your user profile. The current release writes to Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\games. FM25 was cancelled in 2025, so the folder names run from Football Manager 2024 straight to Football Manager 26 with no 2025 in between.
Two things catch people out. OneDrive often claims the Documents folder on Windows, which quietly changes the path to C:\Users\you\OneDrive\Documents\Sports Interactive\... And the Save Game screen has a folder browser that opens inside the games folder the game really writes to, which beats guessing at the default.

The folder name follows the edition: Football Manager 26 for the current release, Football Manager 2024 for the previous one. If OneDrive backs up Documents you get C:\Users\<name>\OneDrive\Documents\Sports Interactive\... instead, and SEGA recommends keeping this folder off cloud drives. FM26 can move it from FM Menu > Preferences > Detailed > Your World > Change Folder.

This is the current path per SEGA support. Older releases used ~/Documents/Sports Interactive, so check there if Application Support comes up empty. The Library folder is hidden: hold Option in Finder and choose Go > Library, or paste the path into Go > Go to Folder.
