Forspoken keeps Steam saves in a FORSPOKEN folder in local app data, nested under a Steam folder and your numeric user ID. The savestorage/gameplay path underneath is the part worth bookmarking.
Steam Cloud adds a wrinkle. Toggling cloud off relocates saves between the cloud backed folder and the local one, which is why progress seems to vanish after flipping that switch. Pick one mode and back up the matching folder.
