Where Does Gardenscapes Store Game Data?

Your garden, coins and boosters live on Playrix servers once you connect Facebook, Google or Apple. Local files are just downloaded assets.

Last updated

Gardenscapes runs on the same cloud save system as the rest of the Playrix lineup. Your garden progress, coins, boosters and event state live on Playrix servers, tied to the Facebook, Google or Apple ID you connected in the settings menu. The phone itself holds downloaded level packs, art and sound assets, plus logs that grow with every event. That pile often tops a gigabyte after a few seasons.

Cross-platform transfers are the one wrinkle worth knowing. Facebook moves progress between Android, iOS and the Windows version of the game. A Google login only works from Android to Android, and an Apple ID stays inside iOS and macOS. If you are switching between platforms, link Facebook first. Once connected, the game asks whether to download your saved garden, and you confirm by typing CONFIRM.

Where Gardenscapes stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.playrix.gardenscapes

Level packs, art, sound assets and login data. Hidden from most file managers on Android 11 and later. Clearing it logs you out but does not touch the garden stored on Playrix servers.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

One container per install, and the GUID changes with every reinstall. Out of reach without a jailbreak. Signing back in is what actually restores the garden, not the folder.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move Gardenscapes to a new phone?

Connect the game to the same Facebook, Google or Apple ID you used before. Facebook is the only one that crosses between Android, iOS and Windows. After connecting, the game asks whether to load the saved garden, and you confirm by typing CONFIRM.

My Gardenscapes progress reset to level 1. Is it gone for good?

Usually the game just connected to a fresh guest account instead of your old sign-in. Open the settings menu and check which account is linked. The garden itself still waits on Playrix servers for the right login, so disconnecting and signing in again often brings it back.

Is it safe to clear the Gardenscapes folder on my phone?

Yes, as long as you are signed in to a Facebook, Google or Apple account. The folder contains downloadable assets, and the game fetches them again on the next launch. If you have never connected any account, leave the files alone until you do.
