Where Does gogh: Focus with Your Avatar Store Data?
gogh keeps avatar and room data in LocalLow\gogh Japan\gogh\SteamCloudSynced, with window settings in the registry.
Last updated
gogh stores its user data in two places. The important one is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\gogh Japan\gogh, where the SteamCloudSynced folder holds a subfolder for each Steam account. The other is a registry key under HKCU\SOFTWARE\gogh Japan\gogh that keeps window and display preferences.
The per-account subfolder is why copying the folder between two Steam accounts does not carry rooms over: the app looks under the numeric ID of whoever is signed in. Steam Cloud covers the synced tree, so normal use needs no manual copying.
Where gogh: Focus with Your Avatar stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\gogh Japan\gogh\SteamCloudSynced
Each Steam account gets its own numeric subfolder here. Rooms, avatar data and focus records live inside. Window settings are in HKCU\SOFTWARE\gogh Japan\gogh instead.
Frequently asked questions
Where does gogh store its data on PC?
Avatar, room and focus data sit in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\gogh Japan\gogh\SteamCloudSynced, inside a folder named after your Steam ID.
Does gogh use Steam Cloud?
Yes. The SteamCloudSynced folder is uploaded through Steam Cloud, so rooms and avatar data usually follow your account to another PC. The sync covers that folder only.
Why did my room disappear after switching Steam accounts?
Data is stored per Steam ID inside SteamCloudSynced. Signing in with a different account points gogh at a different subfolder, so the room is not gone, just filed under the other ID.
Can I copy gogh data to another PC?
Copy the SteamCloudSynced folder from LocalLow with gogh closed, then put it in the same place on the new PC. Keep the numeric subfolder name so the app can find it.
