Where Are Gordian Quest Save Files Located?

Gordian Quest saves to a MixedRealms LocalLow folder, with preferences split between JSON and registry.

Last updated

Gordian Quest is a Unity deckbuilder from Mixed Realms, and it saves exactly where Unity games usually do. Campaign progress sits in a Saves folder under LocalLow, with preferences in a JSON file beside it and a registry key on top.

Two config locations means settings can disagree after migration. Copy the folder for files and export the key for the rest, then launch once and let Steam Cloud settle. The Saves folder alone carries the campaign; everything else is convenience.

Where Gordian Quest stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\MixedRealms\GordianQuest\Saves

Campaign progress and unlocks under the MixedRealms folder. Copy with the game closed. Steam Cloud syncs the same tree.

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\MixedRealms\GordianQuest\Preferences.json

Preferences file plus registry values. Migrate both halves or settings reset while progress survives.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/981430/pfx/

Proton prefix for the Windows build (AppID 981430). The LocalLow tree and registry key live inside the prefix.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move everything to a new PC?

Copy the whole MixedRealms folder with the game closed. Saves and Preferences.json travel together, and Steam Cloud reconciles the saves on first launch.
