Where Does HashMyFiles Store Its Config?

HashMyFiles keeps options in a CFG beside the executable and computes hashes on demand, storing nothing per file.

Last updated

HashMyFiles calculates file hashes on demand and remembers nothing about the files afterward. Digests appear in the window and vanish with it unless explicitly saved.

The single CFG file beside the executable holds column choices and enabled algorithms. Export results to file when they matter, since the tool will not recall them later.

Where HashMyFiles stores this, by platform

Windows
<folder>\HashMyFiles.cfg

Options beside the exe. Hash results export through the UI to text or HTML. Nothing per hashed file persists anywhere.
