Where Does Honeyview Store Settings?
Honeyview keeps every option in a single Honeyview.ini file in Roaming AppData. Delete it to start over.
Last updated
Honeyview's entire settings live in one ini file. Delete or rename it with Honeyview closed and the next launch recreates factory defaults. That makes both backup and reset trivial.
One thing to know before investing too much: Bandisoft ended Honeyview updates with version 5.53 in 2024 and points users at BandiView instead. Your ini and shortcuts still work, but new formats and fixes go to the successor.
Where Honeyview stores this, by platform
%APPDATA%\Honeyview\Honeyview.ini
Close Honeyview, rename or delete the ini, and relaunch for defaults. Back it up before reinstalling Windows. File associations live separately in the registry under HKCU\SOFTWARE\Honeyview.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reset Honeyview settings?
Close the program, delete Honeyview.ini from the path above, and start it again. Defaults return immediately. If you only want to undo one change, press F5 and fix it in the settings panel instead of wiping everything.
Is Honeyview still updated?
No. Bandisoft discontinued updates and recommends BandiView as the continuation with the same features. Honeyview 5.53 keeps working on Windows 11, but bugs and new camera RAW formats will not be fixed there.
