The Great Circle splits its data two ways. Save slots live in Steam userdata (<Steam>\userdata\[Steam-ID]\2677660\remote) while engine config sits in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\MachineGames\TheGreatCircle\base\TheGreatCircleConfig.local.
The game autosaves only (watch for the hat icon), with a Save Rollback system keeping three older checkpoints per slot. A true full reset means deleting both locations, not one. Microsoft Store builds use an obfuscated wgs container instead of the userdata path.
