Where Does InnerTune Store Downloads and Data?
InnerTune keeps its library database in app private storage, with offline songs in cache plus downloads you configure in settings.
Last updated
InnerTune splits library from files. Playlists, likes, and the song index live in the app database under the verified package. Offline audio sits in cache and download folders beside it.
Streaming cache is disposable; pinned downloads are not. The app redownloads cache silently but never recreates a deleted download. Confirm the exact download folder in settings on your build, since paths shift between releases. Sign in state also gates the library, so keep the login.
Where InnerTune stores this, by platform
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.zionhuang.music
Library database and settings under the verified package com.zionhuang.music. Pair this with the download folders for complete backups. Clear cache here, never the database, when space runs low.
Frequently asked questions
A song plays online but is missing offline. Where is it?
Check the download location inside InnerTune settings first. Cached streams and pinned downloads live apart, so a missing song is usually still streamable but not pinned. Pin it for offline to force a real file.
How do I back up InnerTune playlists and downloads?
Export the database from settings and copy downloads off the phone. Playlists and likes live in the database, files live in storage. Both copies are needed for a full restore.
