Where Are Islets Save Files Located?
The Islets save files on PC, with sky island progress under an Islets_New2 folder in Local AppData.
Last updated
Islets reconnects its sky islands from Local AppData under an Islets_New2 folder with a version fossil in the name. Config shares the directory, so settings and progress reconnect together.
GameMaker ports love these suffixed folders, and the suffix never matches the game's marketing name. Search Islets_New2 exactly and the floating islands appear.
Where Islets stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Islets_New2
Local AppData with a version suffix baked into Islets_New2. Saves match an Islets pattern with wildcards; config sits beside them. Steam Cloud syncs the tree.
Frequently asked questions
Why does searching for Islets find no saves?
The folder carries a New2 suffix from development. Search Islets_New2 under AppData Local instead.
How do I back up Islets?
Copy the whole Islets_New2 folder while the game is closed. Every reconnected island travels inside it.
