Where Does Self-Hosted Kaizoku Store Data?
Kaizoku manga server library, config and log mounts for self-hosted installs.
Last updated
Kaizoku runs in Docker with three mounts. Library and downloads share a data mount. Config and logs get their own. A Postgres volume holds the database beside them.
Host sides are user chosen in compose, so only container paths stay fixed. An env file next to compose sets port and database hosts. Note this is the oae lineage, not an HDoujin fork.

Container library and downloads mount with user chosen host bind. Config and logs mount separately. Env file beside compose holds port and DB hosts. Postgres in its own volume. Original archived 2025, forks continue.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Kaizoku?
Back up the host folders bound to data, config and logs plus the env file and the Postgres volume. The library without the database loses reading progress and metadata. Keep all pieces from the same shutdown.
Which fork do these paths cover?
The original project archived in 2025 with forks continuing it. Container paths stayed stable across the split. Match the compose file to the running fork before assuming mount names.
