Katana Zero saves as .zero files in a Katana_ZERO folder in local AppData, one set per Steam account. Speedrun tools read the same files, which is why timer configs and saves collide in guides.
Cloud wipes are the classic heartbreak here. Enabling Cloud after months offline can replace local progress with an empty remote, so back up the folder before toggling sync.
