Where Does Ladybird Store Profiles and Settings?
Ladybird browser profile on Linux and macOS, plus bookmarks, history and cache.
Last updated
Ladybird keeps profiles, bookmarks and history in per OS app data under a Ladybird folder. Cache sits beside prefs.
The project moves fast, so exact names shift between builds. Check the app settings or about pages when a path below is missing. Copy with the browser closed to move a profile.
Where Ladybird stores this, by platform
~/.config/Ladybird/
Profile, bookmarks and prefs. Some builds use ~/.local/share/Ladybird for data plus ~/.cache/Ladybird for cache. Copy the set together with the browser closed.
~/Library/Application Support/Ladybird/
Same role as Linux config home. Use Go to Folder in Finder. Cache sits nearby in ~/Library/Caches/Ladybird on many builds. Exact layout may vary by version.
Frequently asked questions
Where are Ladybird bookmarks?
Inside the profile folder above as bookmarks plus history stores. There is no single HTML export in early builds, so copy the whole profile to migrate.
How do I reset Ladybird settings?
Quit the browser and rename the Ladybird data folders, then relaunch. Defaults return. Delete the renamed copies once pages load cleanly.
