Where Are Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Save Files Located?

Lost Records save folder on PC, how Tape 1 and Tape 2 saves relate, and where camcorder clips are kept.

Last updated

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage uses an Unreal Engine save folder with an ampersand in the name: Bloom&Rage in Local AppData. Type it carefully when navigating by hand, since the & breaks pasted paths that expect plain words.

The game shipped in two tapes, and Tape 2 continues from your Tape 1 save. Deleting the Tape 1 file before starting Tape 2 strands the story with nothing to import. The same folder also keeps your camcorder clips, the short webm videos and thumbnails Swann records along the way.

Where Lost Records: Bloom & Rage stores this, by platform

Windows
C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local\Bloom&Rage\Saved\SaveGames

GameSave files carry story progress per tape, UserSettings carries options, and clip_ files are camcorder recordings. Paste the path with quotes if the & causes trouble.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1902960/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Bloom&Rage/Saved/SaveGames

Proton prefix for Steam Deck and Linux desktops, app ID 1902960. Same file layout as Windows, including the ampersand in the folder name.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my Tape 1 save to play Tape 2?

Yes, Tape 2 imports your Tape 1 choices from the same SaveGames folder. Keep the Tape 1 GameSave file until Tape 2 has loaded it at least once.

Where are my Lost Records camcorder videos?

Beside the saves, as clip_*.webm files with matching thumbnails. They sync through Steam Cloud with the rest of the folder, so they survive reinstalls.
