Where Does Mailspring Store Mail Cache and Settings?

Mailspring caches headers, bodies and attachments in an edgehill.db database inside a per OS data folder, with preferences alongside. Email itself stays on the server, so wiping this folder only costs re download time.
The nuclear fix is documented by Mailspring: quit, delete the folder, relaunch and sign in again. Passwords live in the OS keychain, so expect re authentication.

%APPDATA%\Mailspring
Holds edgehill.db plus config.json. Copying the whole folder to a new PC carries accounts over, minus keychain passwords.
~/Library/Application Support/Mailspring
Same layout. In Finder use Go > Go to Folder. Moving the folder elsewhere needs a symlink at the original path.

Uses XDG config home when set. Same edgehill.db cache and reset procedure.
