Where Does Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Store Data?

Heroes, skins and rank belong to your Moonton account on the server. The local folder is downloaded resources and login tokens.

Last updated

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is regional, account-driven and mostly server-side. Heroes, skins, rank points and diamonds hang off the login you bound to the game, which can be a Moonton account, Google, Facebook, TikTok or one of several regional options depending on where you play. The app folder on the phone stores resource packs for heroes and maps, patch data and the session that keeps you signed in between matches.

The resource packs are the bulky part, often several gigabytes, and they rebuild themselves after a clean install. Clearing them or reinstalling costs time but not progress, as long as the account is bound. Ranked play adds one wrinkle: a login is locked to a server region, and a new region means starting over there no matter what the folder says. Bind an account before you switch phones, and remember that different servers host different copies of you.

Where Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stores this, by platform

Android
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.mobile.legends

Hero and map resource packs, patch files and sign-in state. Hidden from file managers on Android 11 and later. Clearing it forces a resource re-download but leaves the account untouched.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Per-install container with a GUID that changes after every reinstall, out of reach without a jailbreak. Signing in is what restores heroes and rank, not the folder.

Frequently asked questions

How do I transfer my Mobile Legends account to a new phone?

Bind the game to a Moonton account, Google or Facebook in settings before switching. Install on the new device and sign in with the same login and the same server region. Guest accounts that were never bound cannot be recovered.

My skins are missing after signing in on a new device.

That usually means the wrong login or the wrong server region. Each regional server keeps its own copy of your account, and only the region you originally played on has your collection. Check the region selector at login before assuming anything is lost.

Can I delete the resource packs to save space between events?

Android's storage settings can clear the app cache, and the game also repairs or re-fetches resources on its own. The download is heavy, so do it over Wi-Fi and keep enough free space for the rebuild. Rank and skins are unaffected either way.
