Mordhau has no campaign saves to lose. Your mercenaries live as CharacterProfiles lines inside Game.ini, encoding gear, cosmetics, face sculpt and perks in one long string per loadout.
That makes the config file the actual save. Copy Game.ini and every custom mercenary plus keybind survives a reinstall intact.

Character loadouts are CharacterProfiles entries inside, with keybinds in Input.ini next door. Edit only with the game closed since launches overwrite the file. Copy Game.ini to back up every mercenary at once. Server admins use a separate server Game.ini with its own guide.
