Where Does the Netatmo App Store Data?

Netatmo weather stations live in private app storage on phones, while the security app stays a separate listing.

Last updated

Smart home vendor Netatmo splits weather and security into separate listings. The weather build runs its own package for stations and sensors with separate private storage. That storage holds the login session and cached charts for each station on the device. The Android path below points to the weather package, while the iOS container uses a GUID.

Do not copy one profile into the other. iOS uses App Store ID 532538499 with an unverified bundle, so quote the numeric ID in guides. Stations themselves live server side either way. A fresh login on a new phone pulls the same stations back without manual import.

Where Netatmo stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.netatmo.netatmo

Private station session and chart cache for the verified weather package. Security sibling uses a separate camera ID.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

GUID container for Netatmo weather (App Store ID 532538499). Bundle unverified; quote the numeric ID.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as Netatmo Security?

Install the weather build at com.netatmo.netatmo for stations and sensors. The security build at com.netatmo.camera keeps its own separate data. The same login works in both apps without conflict.

Do Netatmo stations transfer phones?

Log into the same Netatmo account on the new phone. Stations sync back from Netatmo servers after login. Local storage only holds the session plus cached sensor charts.
