Where Are Nightmare Reaper Save Files Located?

Nightmare Reaper saves inside its install folder under a default MyProject directory name.

Last updated

Nightmare Reaper keeps saves inside its own installation folder under a directory literally named MyProject, the Unreal Engine default the developers never renamed. Config lives in LocalAppData under the same default name.

The unrenamed folder is the whole story. Search for the game title and you find nothing; search for MyProject and the saves appear. Copy them out before verifying, moving, or uninstalling, since all three operations sweep the install tree.

Where Nightmare Reaper stores this, by platform

Windows
<SteamLibrary>\steamapps\common\Nightmare Reaper\MyProject

Progress inside the install folder under the default UE project name. Search for MyProject, not the title. Copy before verifying or moving the install.

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\MyProject\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Graphics and engine ini files (WindowsNoEditor) under the same default project name in LocalAppData. Separate from progress.

Linux
~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/1051690/pfx/

Proton prefix for the Windows build (AppID 1051690). The install-folder saves appear under the prefix's steamapps path.

Frequently asked questions

Does verifying game files delete my progress?

Copy the save files out first. The folder is the Unreal default project name, and verifying or reinstalling sweeps the directory your progress lives in.
