Nioh 3 moved saves out of Documents, breaking a series habit that went back to the first game. PC saves now live in AppData Local under KoeiTecmo NIOH3 Savedata, inside a subfolder named for your Steam numeric id.
Back up the whole NIOH3 folder rather than cherry picking files. Steam Cloud syncs the same data, which rescues dead drives but also restores mistakes, so pause it while experimenting with downloaded saves.
