Nostur stores the private key on the iPhone itself, in app storage backed by the keychain. Posts live on relays, so reinstalling without the key starts a stranger account with the same name.
Copy the nsec from Nostur settings to paper and a password manager before you need it. Relay lists and profile metadata rebuild from the network on their own. iCloud device backups may restore the app state, but a bare nsec backup works on every client, not just Nostur.
