Where Does Pandora Store Offline Music?

Pandora keeps offline stations and podcasts in private app storage on mobile, managed only through the app. No documented file path exists.

Last updated

Pandora publishes no internal paths, and that is worth saying outright. Offline stations on Plus and on-demand content on Premium live in private app storage on each phone. The package IDs are confirmed. The folder trees inside are not.

Manage it through the app and the OS. Android offers the standard Clear Cache and Clear Data split, and internal memory is mandatory since SD installs go unsupported. Everything account-shaped lives server-side, so reinstalls cost downloads but never stations.

Where Pandora stores this, by platform

Android
/data/data/com.pandora.android

Private app storage for package com.pandora.android. Pandora documents no internal folder layout, so no deeper path is quoted here. Use the OS storage screen for cache versus data, and keep the install on internal memory.

iOS
/var/mobile/Containers/Data/Application/<guid>/Documents

Sandboxed container with in-app offline only. No Files.app path and no documented internal layout. Reinstall to clear, then sign back in while stations resync from the account.

Frequently asked questions

Pandora is using too much space. What do I clear?

Use Settings, Apps, Pandora, Storage, Clear Cache first. That keeps downloads while freeing bulk. Clear Data wipes offline content and forces a re-download, with Plus stations refetching automatically and Premium needing manual re-downloads.

Can I move Pandora downloads to an SD card?

Keep it on internal memory. Pandora's own troubleshooting says SD card installs are unsupported. Move the app back to phone storage if downloads misbehave. The offline allowance is four stations on Plus with fuller on-demand on Premium.

How do I clear Pandora cache on iPhone?

Delete and reinstall. iOS exposes no file path for Pandora offline, so the reinstall is the cache clear. Stations and preferences return on login since the account is server-side.
