Where Does Pavlov VR Store Config and Mods?
Pavlov VR keeps config, mods and favorites locally under AppData Local Pavlov with no campaign save. Ranks and inventory live server-side.
Last updated
Pavlov VR has no save file to hunt. The reference leaves the save field blank because a multiplayer shooter keeps ranks and inventory server-side. Local disk holds config, mods, favorites and crash dumps instead.
That split decides every operation. Back up the Saved tree for settings and mods while accepting ranks live elsewhere. Factory resets delete locally without touching Workshop subscriptions or server state.
Where Pavlov VR stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pavlov\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Graphics, audio, locomotion, favorites and mod directory keys with a Windows twin cited across guides. No campaign save exists by design. Copy whole with Steam closed.
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Pavlov\Saved\Mods
Workshop mod folders with crash dumps beside them under the Saved tree. Deleting resets locally while subscriptions persist in Steam. Server-side ranks never touch these folders.
<SteamLibrary>/steamapps/compatdata/555160/pfx/
Steam Play prefix for App ID 555160. The Pavlov Saved tree mirrors inside the prefix drive. Same local-versus-server split on Deck and Linux.
Frequently asked questions
How do I back up Pavlov VR settings?
Copy %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pavlov\Saved with its config, mods and crashes children while Steam is closed. No campaign file exists to preserve since progression is server-side. Unsubscribing Workshop mods happens separately in Steam.
How do I factory-reset Pavlov VR?
Delete the whole Pavlov Saved tree with Steam closed for the official factory reset. Graphics, grip, locomotion and favorites all revert. Server-side ranks and bans survive, so this fixes local faults only.
WindowsNoEditor or Windows config folder?
Check both Config children. Sources cite WindowsNoEditor canonically with Windows variants in guides, so keep whichever holds fresh timestamps. Favorite servers and mod directory keys live in the user settings file.
