Where Does PEAK Store Save Data?

PEAK keeps progress in the Windows registry instead of a save file, with the exact key and its limits.

Last updated

PEAK has no save file to copy. Persistent unlocks live in the Windows registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LandCrab\PEAK, the standard Unity PlayerPrefs spot, with the rest tracked through your Steam account.

That shapes every backup attempt. Moving to a new PC takes a registry export plus the same Steam ID, and file copy tools find nothing to grab. BepInEx mod users get an extra surprise: game updates tend to reset modded setups, registry or not.

Where PEAK stores this, by platform

Windows
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LandCrab\PEAK

A registry key, not a folder. Open regedit and navigate to it to export. Unlocks are also tied to the Steam backend (AppID 3527290), so the key alone is useless under a different account. No native Linux or Mac build exists.

Frequently asked questions

Can I transfer my PEAK progress to another PC?

Export the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\LandCrab\PEAK registry key and import it on the new machine, then log in with the same Steam account. File copying alone moves nothing, since there is no discrete save file.

Why is there no PEAK save file in Documents or AppData?

Because the game stores unlocks as Unity PlayerPrefs in the registry instead. This is normal for PEAK, not a missing folder. If a guide tells you to copy a .sav file, it is describing a different game.
