Program Files installs without elevation redirect writes to VirtualStore, splitting colonies across two locations. Check both spots if Olympus Mons looks smaller than remembered.

Inside the install folder starting from your Steam library root. [UserID] is your account folder with save files inside. Without admin rights Windows may redirect to VirtualStore instead.
