Where Does Polymail Store Mail and Tracking Data?
Polymail syncs mail from your accounts with tracked messages and sequences in the cloud workspace.
Last updated
Polymail keeps mail on your providers' servers, with tracking data, sequences, and calendar overlays in its own cloud workspace. The apps mirror both sides for offline reading.
The durable copies are the server mailbox and the exported records. Reinstalling and logging back in restores accounts and workspace data from their respective clouds. Anything captured only on the old phone, like unsent drafts, needs no rescue beyond sending it first.
Where Polymail stores this, by platform
Provider mailboxes (sync); Polymail cloud (tracking)
Mail syncs from providers; tracking and sequences sync from the Polymail workspace. The phone holds mirror cache only.
Provider mailboxes (sync); Polymail cloud (tracking)
Same dual-cloud design. Offline folders rebuild on login, so reinstalls cost nothing but the unsynced tail.
Frequently asked questions
Do my emails survive a reinstall?
Synced mail returns on login. Only unsent drafts and offline edits lag behind, so let the app finish syncing before wiping.
