Where Does PRISM Live Studio Save Recordings?

PRISM Live Studio keeps desktop config under Local AppData and mobile clips in your gallery or Photos app. Paths for each are inside.

Last updated

PRISM Live Studio exists on desktop and phones, and each side stores things differently. The Windows desktop app installs its config, plugin, and data folders under Local AppData. Recordings and scene exports go wherever you choose in settings.

On Android and iOS there is no folder to memorize. Finished clips land in the gallery or Photos app when saving is enabled, and scene setups travel as exported json or psc files you carry over yourself. Desktop users get finer control through OBS-style plugin folders.

Where PRISM Live Studio stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\PRISMLiveStudio

Install root holding config plus obs-studio, data, and obs-plugins subfolders. Recordings go to the output folder set in settings; scene lists export to a user-chosen json or psc file.

Android
/storage/emulated/0/DCIM

Clips appear in the gallery app when saving is enabled in Settings. Scene setups export as json or psc to any folder you pick, then import on the other device.

iOS
Photos app (Recents album)

Clips save to the Photos app when the save-video option is on. A Temporary storage option in Settings skips saving entirely, which helps short streams on tight storage.

Frequently asked questions

PRISM recorded nothing. Where did my video go?

On desktop, check the recording output path in settings before you go live. On mobile, use the save-video option in Settings, or clips never hit the gallery at all.

How do I move PRISM scenes to another device?

Use Menu, then List of Scenes, then Export on desktop to save a json or psc file. The psc file reopens directly in PRISM on the other machine.
