Where Does Proton Bridge Store Data?

Proton Bridge local data folders on Windows, macOS and Linux; mail itself stays on Proton servers.

Last updated

Proton Bridge translates ProtonMail for IMAP clients, caching mail locally under a protonmail folder. Accounts and bridge settings share the tree.

Cache is disposable; credentials are not. Re-authenticate on new machines and let the cache rebuild from the server.

Where Proton Mail Bridge stores this, by platform

Windows
%APPDATA%\protonmail\bridge

Holds bridge data and cache. Exact inner layout shifts between Bridge versions; copy with Bridge stopped. Re-authenticate after migration.

macOS
~/Library/Application Support/protonmail/bridge

Same role. Use Go to Folder in Finder.
