Where Does PUBG Store Settings?

PUBG's GameUserSettings.ini under TslGame plus the read-only trick that locks tweaks in.

Last updated

PUBG keeps client settings in GameUserSettings.ini inside a TslGame tree in local AppData. Scalability groups, resolution scale and input toggles all live there, which is why low end guides edit it directly.

The game rewrites the file on exit, so hand tweaks vanish unless you set read-only after saving. Progress and ranks stay server side regardless, so this file only ever carries preferences.

Where PUBG stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\GameUserSettings.ini

Paste into Run to open directly. Edit sg.ResolutionQuality and ScreenScale for perf, then mark read-only via file Properties so the client keeps your values.

Frequently asked questions

Why do my PUBG tweaks reset every launch?

The client rewrites the INI on exit. Save your edits, set the file read-only, and the game loads them without overwriting.

Where are PUBG replays stored?

Replays are server linked through your account, not files in TslGame. This folder only holds settings, so back it up for fresh installs, not for match history.
