Where Does Valorant Store Settings?
Valorant's Saved Config folder on Windows, the GUID layer, and which INI files matter.
Last updated
Valorant keeps settings in a Saved/Config tree under local AppData, with one GUID named folder per install between Config and Windows. GameUserSettings.ini carries resolution and scalability groups, while RiotUserSettings.ini holds client level prefs.
Progress itself is account side through your Riot ID, so these files only matter for graphics, crosshair imports and fresh PC setups. Copy them with the game closed and matching hardware for best results.
Where Valorant stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\VALORANT\Saved\Config
Drill into the GUID subfolder then Windows for GameUserSettings.ini. Confirmed by Riot support's own log collection guide. No Linux build exists because Vanguard is Windows only.
Frequently asked questions
Can I copy Valorant settings to a new PC?
Yes. Copy GameUserSettings.ini into the same GUID/Windows path on the new machine. Reconfirm resolution once, since monitor IDs differ between PCs.
Do config files store my Riot login?
No. They hold graphics, audio and client prefs only. Account data stays server side, so sharing an INI never shares account access.
