Where Does Remark42 Store Comments?
Remark42 stores comments in BoltDB under the var folder. Backups plus avatars sit in the same tree.

Remark42 keeps everything under var by default. In Docker that path is mounted as ./var on the host mapped to /srv/var in the container. Bolt database files live at the top of that tree, one per site.
Avatars live in var/avatars and uploaded pictures in var/pictures. Automatic backups land in var/backup. To move hosts, copy the whole var tree plus your compose secrets. Keep the compose secrets with the var backup, since the site ID and secret must match the Bolt files on restore. Verify backup files after restore, since avatars and pictures need matching paths to display.
