Where Are Rematch Save Files Located?

Rematch keeps saves and settings in a folder named Runtime, not Rematch. The Windows path and what to delete when settings stop saving.

Last updated

Rematch stores its local files under a folder called Runtime inside LocalAppData. The name catches people out because nothing in it says Rematch, so searching for the game name finds nothing.

Saves live in SaveGames and settings live in the Config folder next to it. Your match progress is tied to your account on the server side, so this folder mostly matters for settings and local cache. Deleting it is also the standard community fix when settings refuse to stick.

Where Rematch stores this, by platform

Windows
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Runtime\Saved\SaveGames

Saves are here. Go up one level to Saved for the Config folder with the settings files. If settings will not save, close the game and Steam, delete the whole Runtime folder, then relaunch. The game recreates it with defaults.

Frequently asked questions

why is there no Rematch folder in AppData?

The folder is called Runtime, not Rematch. Look for %LOCALAPPDATA%\Runtime instead. Several players only found it after following a video or forum post, since a name search comes up empty.

will deleting the Runtime folder wipe my progress?

It resets local settings and replays the prologue on next launch, which you can skip. Match progress itself is account side, so rank and unlocks survive. Back up the folder first if you want to be safe.
