Where Are Scorn Save Files Located?
Where Scorn keeps checkpoint saves and ini settings on PC, and why the Game Pass path looks nothing like Steam.
Last updated
Scorn stores checkpoint saves under one LocalAppData tree on Steam, GOG and Epic. Slots sit in Saved SaveGames as plain files. Settings sit beside them in Saved Config.
The Microsoft Store build breaks the pattern with an encrypted container under its Packages folder. That tree is opaque by design, so back it up whole rather than picking files. Match the path to your store before touching anything. Checkpoint saves are compact, so the whole SaveGames tree copies in seconds with the game closed.
Where Scorn stores this, by platform
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Scorn\Saved\SaveGames
Holds checkpoint .sav files for Steam, GOG and Epic. Config sits beside it in Saved Config WindowsNoEditor. Game Pass builds instead hide saves in a Packages wgs container.
Frequently asked questions
Can I transfer a Scorn Steam save to Game Pass?
There is no direct copy between them. Steam keeps plain .sav files under LocalAppData while Game Pass hides progress in an encrypted wgs container. Finish on one store or accept starting fresh on the other.
Where is the Scorn settings ini file?
Open the Config WindowsNoEditor folder under Saved. GameUserSettings.ini and Engine.ini hold graphics choices as text. Game Pass builds use a WinGDK sibling instead, so check your store before editing.
