Where Does SCP: Secret Laboratory Store Data?

SCP: Secret Laboratory splits saves into a LocalLow folder named Hubert Moszka and config into AppData, with a registry key.

Last updated

SCP: Secret Laboratory is a Unity game, and its folders still use the developer's old name, Hubert Moszka. The save data is in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Hubert Moszka\SCP_ Secret Laboratory. Config is in %APPDATA%\SCP Secret Laboratory and in the registry under HKCU\SOFTWARE\Hubert Moszka\SCPSL.

The naming is inconsistent on purpose: the LocalLow folder has an underscore between SCP and Secret, the AppData folder does not. Steam Cloud covers the save folder. Both locations are worth checking when a settings change does not stick.

Where SCP: Secret Laboratory stores this, by platform

Windows
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Hubert Moszka\SCP_ Secret Laboratory

Save and local data. Note the underscore in SCP_ Secret. Steam Cloud syncs this folder.

Windows
%APPDATA%\SCP Secret Laboratory

Config files. No underscore here. The registry key HKCU\SOFTWARE\Hubert Moszka\SCPSL also holds settings.
