Where Are Shape of Dreams Save Files Located?
The Shape of Dreams save folder on PC, with JSON profile and stats files under the Lizard Smoothie developer folder.
Last updated
Shape of Dreams stores runs and account progress as plain JSON files, which makes them easy to spot and easy to break. Profiles live next to stats files inside a QuickSave folder, all under the developer name Lizard Smoothie in LocalLow.
Steam Cloud mirrors this folder, so a second PC usually syncs on its own. If sync looks stale, the local QuickSave copy below is the one the game actually reads at launch.
Where Shape of Dreams stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Lizard Smoothie\Shape of Dreams\QuickSave
Unity LocalLow location. Profiles are r_profile files and totals are r_stats files, both JSON. Steam Cloud syncs this folder, so edits on one PC propagate to others.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit my Shape of Dreams save?
The files are plain JSON, so a careful edit works, but back up QuickSave first. A single misplaced comma invalidates the profile and the game falls back to defaults.
Why did my progress vanish after switching PCs?
Steam Cloud probably has not finished syncing. Confirm the QuickSave folder on the first PC has fresh timestamps, then let Steam fully sync before launching on the second one.
