Where Are Shapez 2 Save Files Located?
Shapez 2 stores saves and blueprints in a tobspr Games folder on all three desktop systems. Paths plus the in game button that opens them.
Last updated
Shapez 2 keeps saves and the blueprint library together in one game data folder. The folder also holds settings and logs, so one backup covers everything.
You rarely need the raw path. Clicking Play then Show Folder in the main menu opens it, and the blueprint library has its own Open Folder button up top. The debug console commands savegames.open-folder and logs.open-folder do the same job.
Where Shapez 2 stores this, by platform
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\tobspr Games\shapez 2
Savegames live in the savegames subfolder, blueprints beside them. Use Play then Show Folder in game instead of browsing to hidden LocalLow by hand.
~/Library/Application Support/tobspr Games/shapez 2
Same internal layout as Windows. The Library folder is hidden in Finder, so the in game Show Folder button is the easy route.
~/.config/unity3d/tobspr Games/shapez 2
Unity engine games on Linux nest publisher folders under ~/.config/unity3d. Player.log sits here too when a bug report asks for it.
Frequently asked questions
how do i back up Shapez 2 saves and blueprints?
Copy the whole shapez 2 data folder above. Saves and the blueprint library travel together, so one copy covers both. Players who mod heavily script this copy with a batch file after each session.
where is the Shapez 2 player log?
In the same data folder, named Player.log. The debug console command logs.open-folder jumps straight to it on Windows and Linux.
