Where Does Shoko Server Store Data and Logs?
Shoko Server keeps its database, logs and settings in a data folder set at install time, apart from your anime library.
Last updated
Shoko Server tracks your anime library in its own database, separate from the video files. Settings, logs and the SQLite database sit together in the data folder chosen during setup.
Install paths vary by package, so confirm the location in settings before assuming defaults. Back up the data folder with the server stopped; media files need no backup from Shoko's side since it only references them.
Where Shoko stores this, by platform
%PROGRAMDATA%\ShokoServer
Default data home with the SQLite database, logs and settings. Installer variants may relocate it, so check the Folders tab in settings. Copy it whole with the server stopped.
~/.shoko
Common home for Docker adjacent and native installs, though your compose file may map elsewhere. The database plus settings here plus the media folders form the full backup set.
