Where Does Smule Store Recordings?
Smule recordings live in your in-app profile with public songs on the account, and downloads only where enabled.

Smule is account-first karaoke. Your profile, recordings, and invites live on Smule's servers, which is why logging in anywhere restores your songbook.
The phone holds offline copies, cached audio, and drafts in app-private storage. Those locals are conveniences, not the archive. Anything that matters already exists on the account; the local files just decide what plays without a connection.
Where Smule stores this, by platform
In-app profile (recordings); app-private offline cache
Recordings sync to the account; the phone keeps offline saves and cache. Reinstall and log in to restore the library, then re-download offline songs.
In-app profile (recordings); app-private offline cache
Same account-first design. Keep favorite recordings public or saved on the account; local drafts die with the app.
Frequently asked questions
Do my recordings survive a reinstall?
Open recordings stay on the account for invites and joins. Only songs you explicitly saved offline travel with the phone, so re-download them after reinstalling.
