Where Does StarMaker Store Recordings?

StarMaker songs live on the account with drafts in the app, and downloads only where explicitly saved.

Last updated

StarMaker is account-first karaoke. Published songs, drafts saved to the account, and profile stats live on StarMaker servers and return on login.

The phone holds recording drafts, downloaded accompaniments, and cache in app-private storage. Published work is safe by definition. Drafts are safe only if uploaded, so finish or discard them deliberately before wiping the app.

Where StarMaker stores this, by platform

Android
In-app profile (songs); app-private drafts and cache

Songs and profile sync from the account. The phone holds drafts and cache; publish keepers before reinstalling, then log back in to restore.

iOS
In-app profile (songs); app-private drafts and cache

Same account-first design. Drafts die with the app while published songs persist, so treat publishing as the save button.

Frequently asked questions

Do my songs survive a reinstall?

Published songs stay on the profile for duets and replays. Only local drafts and cache die with the app, so publish or save the keepers first.
