Suikoden Remaster saves live in a Save folder inside the install directory, split into gsd1, gsd2 and share.
Last updated
The Suikoden remaster ignores every user folder convention and saves inside its own install directory. A Save folder holds one numbered folder per Steam account, with gsd1, gsd2 and share inside for each game and the shared gallery unlocks.
Reach it through Steam rather than typing paths: right click the game, Manage, Browse Local Files. The receiving machine must have launched the game once so its numbered folder exists before you paste saves in.
Where Suikoden I&II HD Remaster stores this, by platform
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Suikoden I and II HD Remaster\Save\<steamid>
gsd1 holds Suikoden I slots as Data files, gsd2 the same for II, share the gallery unlocks. Back up the whole Save folder. Reinstalls and file verification can wipe it since it lives with the game.
Frequently asked questions
how do i transfer suikoden remaster saves to another pc
Launch the game once on the new machine so its numbered folder appears, then copy the gsd1, gsd2 and share folders into it. Save slots map by Data filename.
how do i unlock the gallery in suikoden remaster
Finish either game; the clear files land in the share folder. The gallery on the title screen reads from there, so keep share backed up with the rest.
