Where Does SyncMyTracks Store Sync Folders?

SyncMyTracks GPX folder pairs and account credentials on Android.

Last updated

SyncMyTracks bridges a plain folder of GPX files with fitness services: point it at a Files directory (the Footpath workouts folder is the classic example), add service accounts, and it uploads tracks on schedule. Pair definitions and credentials live in app data.

The GPX files themselves stay ordinary files in your chosen folder, which is the whole point. The app never owns them. Back up the folder for the tracks and screenshot pair screens for the setup, since reinstalls forget every configured route.

Your chosen GPX folder in device storage (tracks) plus app data (pairs)

Create a dedicated folder for exports and select Files Directory as source. Store credentials per service for auto upload. Reinstalling clears pairs; the GPX folder survives untouched.

Frequently asked questions

how do I sync Footpath workouts with SyncMyTracks

Export GPX Track from Footpath into a dedicated folder, add it as a Files Directory source in SyncMyTracks, add the fitness service, and run Export and import. Reuse the folder for every ride.

does SyncMyTracks delete my GPX files

No. It reads and uploads copies, leaving originals in place. Manage the folder yourself; the app only remembers pairs and credentials in its own data.
